One of our goals in writing the book has been to provide a wide coverage of the field of database systems. As a result, the Seventh Edition of the book (like the previous edition) contains significantly more material than can be covered in a single semester.
We suggest below syllabi for a few example course structures organized around Database System Concepts (Seventh Edition). However, we believe the final choice must lie with the instructor, who is best qualified to make the choice, based on local requirements.
